CEO Andrew Myers Calls Out Red Flags for Clean Cannabis Goals with Cannabis Certification Council

As consumers become more educated about cannabis production, crop quality and growing methods have taken center stage. While cannabis can’t be certified as “organic,” the term “clean cannabis” is used to help consumers identify high quality flower. In a guest blog for the Cannabis Certification Council (CCC), ProGrowTech CEO Andrew Myers discussed missteps that prevent growers from achieving “clean cannabis” status.

Andrew pointed out several mistakes, including not upgrading to newer, more sustainable technologies, such as LED lights and other automated systems. He also explained the negative ramifications of not improving infrastructure to protect an indoor grow from contamination and temperature swings. ProGrowTech LEDs can play a large role in clean cannabis production, due to their energy efficiency and regulated operating temperature.
